Preferred Name FAQs
At ÿÈÕ´óÈü, we understand that your name is an important part of your identity. That’s why we offer the option via to use a name you choose to be called that may differ from your legal name.
ÿÈÕ´óÈü recognizes that some students prefer to use a name other than their legal name. As long as the use of a preferred name is not for misrepresentation, abuse, or avoiding accountability, students may request this option where possible.
You can easily set your preferred name, gender identity, and pronouns through eCampus:
- Log in to
- Select the service
- Update your preferred name, gender identity, and pronouns
We encourage students to set their preferred name before the start of the semester, but you can make updates at any time.

If requested, your username and email address will also reflect your preferred name.
